Deepak Ohri created the Ohri Luxury Index (OLI), an innovative tool designed to measure the emotional value of luxury brands. OLI received the prestigious Best of the Best 2023 award from Robb Report Thailand. Further solidifying his status in the luxury industry, Deepak Ohri was named the Icon of Luxury at the Best of the Best 2024 awards by Robb Report Hong Kong.
He has also been recognized by the International Hospitality Institute, which included him in the list of the 100 Most Influential People in Global Hospitality and Tourism for both 2022 and 2023. In 2024, Deepak Ohri received the Silver Stevie Award for Thought Leader of the Year from the American Business Awards.

Academic Contributions and Curriculum Development
Deepak Ohri holds several key roles at Florida International University, serving as Executive in Residence in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center, Chairman of the Executive Board for the Center, and Board Member for the Center for International Business and Education (CIBER) at the College of Business. He co-designed and co-created the pioneering Luxury Incubator MBA course, a first-of-its-kind program in luxury management and marketing offered at the university’s Graduate School of Business. Additionally, he developed “The Experiential Immersion by Deepak Ohri,” a program based on experiential learning aimed at the Faculty Professional Development Program in International Business, in collaboration with both the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center and CIBER.

Deepak Ohri is an author of “A Bridge Not Too Far – Where Creativity Meets Innovation,” a book that highlights the importance of focus, self-esteem, and strategic thinking, illustrated through his own experiences.
